How it works

Every month we’ll select a book from an LGBTQIA+ writer, with an LGBTQIA+ storyline or about LGBTQIA+ history or politics, carefully wrap it and deliver it, along with a bar of Tony's Chocolonely. Please note this is a mixed Fiction/Non-Fiction Subscription.

FAQs

How do you choose the books each month?

We look at any notes you've given us about your reading preferences and your order history (what we've sent your before), then choose a book from the latest releases. By picking a recent release we minimise the chance of sending you something you've read before and, hopefully, introduce you to a new author.

When will I receive my book each month?

We post all the subscriptions on the 1st of each month and they should be with you by the 5th.

The cut-off date for new subscriptions is the 15th of the month e.g. if you sign up for a subscription before the 15th January then we'll post your first subscription on 1st February, if you sign up after 15th January we'll post your first subscription on 1st March. 

What happens if I already have the book you've sent me?

Contact us within a week of receiving it and we'll arrange to send you a replacement. You will be responsible for returning the unwanted book back to us in mint condition, either by post or by dropping it off at one of our shops (in Portishead or Henleaze, Bristol).

What happens if I don't like the book you've sent me?

As above, contact us within a week of receiving it and we'll arrange to send you a replacement. You will be responsible for returning the unwanted book back to us in mint condition, either by post or by dropping it off at one of our shops (in Portishead or Henleaze, Bristol).

What if I want to buy the subscription as a present?

During the check-out process you'll see a button - "Add a note to your order". Click this and enter the name and address you'd like the book sent to each month, and the month you'd like the subscription to start. If you have any suggestions for what types of books the recipient of your kind gift likes and doesn't like please add these notes within the same field.

If you'd like a gift card to give to the recipient you can either download the gift card image from the gallery on the left (right click on the image and select Save Image) or tell us that you'd like one and we'll post a card to you.
