ABOUT THE BOOK
Pets Tell Tales: Ancient Egypt
What REALLY happened in Ancient Egypt? In this graphic novel the animals of the past are here to tell you the REAL deal... So, you think you know about Ancient Egypt - the pyramids, mummies, and pharoahs? Well, we're the animals of Ancient Egypt and we think it's time we told you the REAL history. We're kind of a big deal to the Ancient Egyptians.
You might learn a thing or two, starting with the Pharoahs. Oh, boy. Did you know there were seven Cleopatras?! And eleven Ramesses? We're going to talk about the really good stuff, like baboon guards, mummified cats, and sacred poop-pushers.
This TRUE comic book will keep every reader glued to the page as they discover life in Ancient Egypt.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR and ILLUSTRATOR
Rik Worth - Rik Worth is a writer from the north of England who has always loved comics. He is fascinated with why people believe in unusual things and the odder side of history. He currently works at the University of Leeds, where he can be found deep in the library, pondering many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore
Jordan Collver - I am a freelance illustrator specialising in using the power and possibilities of comics to tell non-fiction stories. My artwork combines traditional pen-and-ink and digital media to create clear, expressive images with a focus on design and composition. I am particularly interested in exploring the wonder of the natural world and the intersection of science, religion, and unusual beliefs. I grew up in Ontario, Canada and have been living in the UK since 2010.
