Why we liked it – The foundations for this story might seem set in stone but this book breathes fresh air into an Arthurian-esque tale that is more modern romcom than it is steeped in myth. The story may be chock-full of wit and snark, but it also doesn’t shy away from a tense and emotional third act, and the overall mix of humour and heartbreak is handled with aplomb.
