ABOUT THE BOOKS

Ember Spark and the Unicorn's Secret (#3)

Ember Spark, vet to magical beasts, is whisked off on a surprise flight, destination unknown! Soon she and her friend, Arno, find themselves deep in the Amazon rainforest. With a new arch-villain tracking their every move, only a unicorn’s secret can save them.

Ember Spark and the Frost Phoenix (#2)

Ember Spark has been working as an apprentice to Rusty Fizzbang, vet to magical creatures. When a baby frost phoenix guides her north to the Arctic circle, she soon realises that the migrating Neverwhales are at risk. And with arch-villain, Jasper Hornswoggle, tracking her, danger is afoot not just for the Neverwhales, but for ALL of the magical creatures.

Ember Spark and the Thunder of Dragons (#1)

Rusty Fizzbang, vet to magical beasts, needs an apprentice. Ember Spark, looking for adventure, is his newest recruit - and together with an unlikely friend, Arno, she is sent to help a baby dragon whose parents have gone missing. But keeping magical beasts a secret isn’t an easy task, especially with arch-villain, Jasper Hornswoggle, hot on their heels and keen to derail them

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Abi Elphinstone grew up in Scotland where she spent most of her childhood building dens, hiding in tree houses, and running wild across highland glens. After being coaxed out of her treehouse, she studied English at Bristol University and then worked as a teacher in Africa, Berkshire, and London. She is the author of the Dreamsnatcher trilogy and the Unmapped Chronicles, among other books for young readers, and the editor of anthology Winter Magic. When she’s not writing, Abi volunteers for the children’s literacy charity Coram Beanstalk, speaks in schools, and travels the world looking for her next story.
